As a Usability and Human Factors consultant, I assist clients with developing user-centered requirements, UX/UI prototyping, design, and development for complex operational systems where safety and performance matter.
As a Supervisory Engineering Psychologist, I helped establish new Human Factors business lines in Systems Safety and Instructional Systems, and led independent research to improve Primary Care referrals for the VHA's pending EHR transition.
As a Lecturer, I taught a suite of post-graduate courses in Human Systems & Human Factors Engineering. I served as a thesis and capstone advisor, shaping groundbreaking research in HFE competency development and human-machine teaming.

Selected Project Highlights
Project: UX Strategy & Website Overhaul
Client: HL7 BPM Community
Work Performed: Stakeholder analysis, information audit, concept mapping, information architecture design, content strategy, messaging development, website prototyping, interactive element design, tailored imagery and video design, website customization.
Results: Created a new BPM Community website with a simplified information architecture, coherent and engaging messaging, and evocative graphics and imagery to convey the value of BPM Community work.
Project: 47' Motor Lifeboat Usability Analysis
Client: USCG Office of Boat Forces
Work Performed: Usability assessment, workflow analysis, interviews, focus groups, walkthroughs, participatory design, low-fidelity prototyping, mockup evaluation, requirements development, stakeholder engagement, ergonomic assessment, requirements development.
Results: Clean-sheet redesign of the 47 MLB bridge cockpit layout and crew seating to maximize safety. Revision of system requirements to include ergonomics and human factors design criteria.
